Our 6-week Digital Storytelling Series

In November 2020 we launched our 6-week Digital Storytelling Workshop Series for Elementary & Secondary students across Quebec, in partnership with LEARN Quebec & ELAN, designed to introduce and develop critical Media & Digital Literacy skills to children 9+ and their educators through a powerful, engaging and relevant storytelling & media creation activity. Since then, we have worked with 1400+ students from all across Quebec, with 1400 Digital Stories created. A few examples can be seen below:

The COVID-19 pandemic has proven to us how important critical thinking and digital citizenship skills are to navigate and evaluate news sites, social media, our online presence, and even our online connections with others.

To allow all canadian students and educators to access this flexible, adaptable & powerful storytelling & digital literacy opportunity, we are now expanding the program across canada beginning february 2022.

How it works:

Each Monday @ 9am EST for 6 weeks you will be emailed a newsletter with one video and all information you need to complete the Digital Storytelling activities with students. Register for the series here. We encourage teachers to learn and create alongside your students, because Media & Digital Literacy skills need to start with us! We encourage you to share your media creation projects in our private Digital Storytelling Facebook Group, to celebrate each other and see what other students are creating too.
