MEDIA EDUCATION IS CRITICAL

Media education represents a critical skill set for each of us to develop as active, empowered and autonomous 21st century citizens. As the amount of digital tools needed to navigate life and work rapidly increases, so too grows the need for customized, supported learning and education for our Youth, adults and Elders/Seniors.

Our Digital Literacy and Storytelling workshops are a highly-effective and accessible tool for individuals from a wide variety of ages and digital experience. Our hands-on approach to Media Education gives our participants an opportunity to learn critical Digital Literacy skills, and gain further autonomy to express themselves, which ultimately leads to greater creative and career opportunities.

For the past 18 years, Jessie has facilitated 500+ Digital Literacy & Storytelling workshops with 55,000+ Canadians from a wide variety of Governments, Communities, Schools and Organizations of all ages. From Community Halls and schools, Youth Centers and Friendship Centers to bush camps, Jessie has experienced firsthand how these programs can transform peoples lives, allowing participants to channel their ideas, wisdom and power in this type of creative expression. Her goal is to continue sharing these skills with more groups into the future with a continued and evolving program offering.

Workshops Are Customized to Your Needs

We customize each workshop to your needs, schedule, setting and budget for maximum engagement, while guaranteeing the most effective workshop experience for your participants.

We are an equal opportunity organization and are pleased to offer groups with limited resources a sliding scale program cost as needed. We can also help groups apply for funding through relevant granting opportunities, and would be happy to speak to you about this.

We look forward to working with you,

The Hands On Media Team
